Running Aces Casino Slots: Card Room, Games & What to Expect

Running Aces Casino: Editor's Comment

Running Aces is an interesting case because the name promises a casino, but the official description is more specific: a Las Vegas-style card room with family-friendly live horse racing, trout fishing, dining, year-round simulcast wagering and a full-service hotel. That mix is the appeal. It is not a wall-to-wall slot floor, and anyone arriving expecting rows of reel machines may be disappointed.

The card room is the centrepiece. The venue advertises blackjack variants, Free Bet Blackjack, Face Up Pai Gow, EZ Baccarat, Mississippi Stud, 4-Card Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold'em and Aces Live 5-Card Draw Poker, with no commission or ante on its table games. Stadium Gaming terminals add 5 Card Draw Poker and Blackjack with a 50-cent minimum bet. Poker players get a dedicated room and a tournament schedule that the venue says is being rebuilt.

The slot question is harder to answer cleanly. A third-party slot database lists China Shores and Ultimate X Bonus Streak Poker as having been tagged at Running Aces Harness Park, but those entries are user-submitted and dated. They are not proof of a current, licensed slot floor. Minnesota's gaming landscape is also not the same as Ireland's, so Irish readers should treat this as venue information rather than a guide to something they can access locally.

What We Liked

• The official site is clear about the core product: table games, poker, tournaments and racing, not a generic casino floor.
• Stadium Gaming gives lower-stakes players a 50-cent entry point on selected terminals.
• The venue combines gaming with a hotel, comedy shows, outdoor events and racing, so it works as a full trip rather than a quick session.
• Jackpot figures for table games and poker are published on the official site, which is more transparent than many card rooms manage.

What is Running Aces Casino?

Running Aces Casino, Hotel & Racetrack is a Minnesota gaming and entertainment venue. Its own homepage describes it as a "cutting-edge, Las Vegas-style card room with family friendly live horse racing, trout fishing, great dining, year-round Simulcast wagering, and a full-service hotel." That wording matters: the gaming identity is a card room, not a slots casino.

The table-games page lists blackjack, Free Bet Blackjack, Face Up Pai Gow, EZ Baccarat, Mississippi Stud, 4-Card Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold'em and Aces Live 5-Card Draw Poker. It also promotes side bets such as TriLux, Lucky Lucky and Pot of Gold on blackjack, plus automatic wins on games paying 6 to 5 with bonus payouts for suited 6-7-8, 7-7-7 and six-card no-bust hands. Poker has its own room, and the venue says tournaments are returning with a schedule to be finalised.

Beyond gaming, Running Aces runs a hotel, comedy shows and an outdoor events area called The Outskirts. The hotel is bookable through Wyndham. For a visitor, the practical takeaway is that this is a multi-purpose venue where gaming is one part of the offer, not the whole building.

Running Aces Casino At A Glance

The table below summarises the confirmed venue facts. It deliberately leaves out slot counts, machine manufacturers and floor size because the available sources do not establish them.

The venue's own jackpot tables show progressive amounts for table games and poker, updated on the dates shown on the site. Those figures move constantly, so treat any number you see here as a snapshot rather than a current total.

Does Running Aces Have Slots?

This is the question most people arrive with, and the honest answer is that the official sources do not describe a conventional slot machine floor. The venue's own pages promote table games, poker, tournaments, stadium gaming and racing. There is no official slot catalogue, no machine count and no list of slot providers on the pages reviewed.

A third-party slot database does list two titles as having been tagged at Running Aces Harness Park: China Shores and Ultimate X Bonus Streak Poker. Those entries are user-submitted, with the most recent tags dated November 2024 and September 2022 respectively. They are not confirmation that either game is currently on the floor, and they do not establish that the venue operates a licensed slot operation. If you are travelling specifically for slots, contact the venue directly before making the trip.

For Irish readers, there is a further point. Running Aces is in Minnesota, and its gaming is governed by that jurisdiction's rules, not by Irish or EU licensing. Nothing here should be read as suggesting the venue is available to Irish players online or that its games are regulated by the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland.

Table Games and Poker at Running Aces

The card room is where Running Aces puts most of its gaming emphasis. The official table-games page describes a "high-energy, cutting-edge card room" with Las Vegas-style games and no commission or ante. The confirmed line-up includes standard and Free Bet Blackjack, Face Up Pai Gow, EZ Baccarat, Mississippi Stud, 4-Card Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold'em and Aces Live 5-Card Draw Poker.

Blackjack players get side bets including TriLux, Lucky Lucky and Pot of Gold, plus the Blazing 7s progressive jackpot. The venue also advertises automatic wins on blackjack games paying 6 to 5, with bonus payouts for suited 6-7-8, 7-7-7 and six-card no-bust hands. EZ Baccarat is dealt around the clock according to the site, with dragon bonuses in play.

Poker has its own room, and the venue says tournaments are returning. At the time of writing, the schedule, buy-ins and full details were still being finalised, so check the official tournaments page before planning around a specific event. The Blackjack Blitz tournament runs on the last Sunday of each month with a $50 buy-in and $1,000 added to the prize pool, according to the table-games page.

Stadium Gaming and Lower-Stakes Options

Stadium Gaming is the closest thing Running Aces offers to a machine-style experience. The official description says players use their own terminal to play 5 Card Draw Poker and Blackjack, with minimum bets of 50 cents and no commission or ante. That is a useful entry point for anyone who wants a lower-stakes session without sitting at a live table.

It is not the same as a slot machine. Stadium Gaming terminals are electronic table-game stations, not reel-spinning slots, and the games available are poker and blackjack variants. If your interest is specifically in slots, this does not answer that need, but it does explain why some visitors describe the venue as having machine gaming.

Jackpots and Promotions

Running Aces publishes progressive jackpot figures for both table games and poker on its official pages. The table-games jackpot list includes 3 Card, Mississippi Stud, 4 Card, Ultimate Texas Hold'em, Face Up Pai Gow, Blazing 7's Blackjack, High Limit Blazing 7's and High Stakes Free Bet. The poker list includes Hold'em Grand, Major, Minor and Mini Bad Beat jackpots plus an Omaha jackpot.

These figures are updated periodically and change as play continues. The site also promotes a Club Member offer where members who earn 150 tier points receive a $10 free meal offer, and an Aces Instant Win promotion running from October 1st to 31st with a chance to win up to $500 cash for having aces in your hand. Promotion terms and dates should always be checked on the official page before you rely on them.

Where to Access Running Aces

Running Aces is a physical venue in Minnesota. There is no indication in the official sources that it operates an online casino or a downloadable slots product for Irish players. Access means visiting the property, booking the hotel through Wyndham, or checking the official site for racing, dining and entertainment details.

Other Slot Games You Might Enjoy

If you are interested in the kind of games that appear in slot databases, our reviews cover several titles in detail.
