Editor's Comment
There is no single game called The Waterwheel. The keyword is ambiguous, and the sources show two separate waterwheel-related slot topics. One is a visual detail in Bonanza, a Megaways slot from Big Time Gaming. The other is a bonus feature in Go Fish!, an Inspired Gaming slot. This guide covers both so you can decide which one matches your interest.
What We Liked
- Bonanza's waterwheel is part of a detailed mining camp setting that gives the game a distinctive look.
- Go Fish!'s Waterwheel bonus adds a layer of variety to the free spins round with five possible enhancements.
- Both games come from established providers and are documented in official or operator sources.
What is The Waterwheel Slots?
The phrase 'The Waterwheel Slots' does not refer to a single slot machine. Based on the available sources, it can mean two things. First, it can refer to the waterwheel that appears in the background of Bonanza, a six-reel Megaways slot from Big Time Gaming. The 888 Casino page for Bonanza describes the setting: 'a wooden hut at its base' and 'a waterwheel to provide for the miners' needs' (888 Casino). Second, it can refer to the Waterwheel bonus feature in Go Fish!, an Inspired Gaming slot. In that game, Waterwheel scatters can trigger a bonus wheel that awards one of five enhancements during free spins (BetMGM). This guide covers both interpretations so you can find the one you meant.

Bonanza RTP Payout and Volatility
The 888 Casino page for Bonanza does not list a specific RTP figure or volatility rating. The game uses a Reactions mechanic, where winning symbols disappear and new symbols fall into place, potentially creating multiple wins from a single spin. Free spins come with unlimited win multipliers, which can increase the value of wins during the bonus round. For exact RTP and volatility figures, check the game's info screen at your chosen operator.
