Pig Slots: What the Name Actually Refers To (2026 Guide)

Editor's Comment

Pig-themed slots are a broad category rather than a single title. The name 'Pig Slots' is most likely a shorthand search term, and the sources show at least three separate products that fit it. Rather than pretend there is one game, this guide sets out the documented alternatives and what each one involves.

• Power Pig is a land-based game seen at M Resort, with no manufacturer confirmed in the available transcript.
• Piggy Burst is an Aristocrat game in the Coin Trio family, with Hold & Spin and an Instant Feature.
• Rakin' Bacon is AGS's long-running series, with multiple versions and a hold-and-spin bonus.

What is the 'Pig Slots' Slot?

There is no single slot machine called 'Pig Slots' in the published information. The term covers several pig-themed games from different makers. The most clearly documented are:

• Power Pig: a game played at M Resort in Las Vegas, described in a video as 'a brand new game' at the time of recording. The transcript does not name the manufacturer.
• Piggy Burst: an Aristocrat Gaming title in the Coin Trio family, alongside Fortune Trails. Aristocrat describes it as a 'fresh Hold & Spin' with seven different Hold & Spin bonuses and an Instant Feature.
• Rakin' Bacon: an AGS series that began in 2018, featuring the golden pig Cornsquealius. Multiple versions exist, including Rakin' Bacon Link, Cash Combo and Triple Oink.

If you were looking for a specific pig slot, the name alone is not enough to identify it. The sections below cover each documented option.

Pig Slots At A Glance

Payback figures for Rakin' Bacon Link are not confirmed in the sources reviewed here. RTP is a long-run theoretical average set by the game's configuration and jurisdiction, and it is not a guarantee of individual results. Check the game's information screen or the operator's published rules for the figure that applies where you play.

Power Pig: What the Video Shows

Power Pig appears in a Jackpot Judo video recorded at M Resort. The transcript describes it as 'a brand new game' at the time, played for the first time by the channel. The minimum bet mentioned is 75 cents, with the player starting at $1.50 a spin and later trying higher denominations.

The game shows piggy clouds above the reels, and the player notes that 'the size of the clouds does not matter' for the bonus. A Hog Wild symbol acts as a wild, and coins on the reels can trigger bonuses. The transcript mentions bonus names including 'Smash and Bacon' and 'Power Tower', though the exact mechanics are not fully explained in the footage.

No manufacturer is named in the transcript, and no RTP or payline information is given. Treat Power Pig as a land-based game seen in a Las Vegas casino, not an online slot with published specs.

Piggy Burst: Aristocrat's Coin Trio Hold & Spin

Piggy Burst is an Aristocrat Gaming slot in the Coin Trio family, released alongside Fortune Trails. Aristocrat's own page describes it as a 'fresh Hold & Spin' that 'provides a nice mix of familiar gameplay and new features'.

The headline mechanic is the Hold & Spin bonus. According to Aristocrat, players 'trigger one, two, or all three metamorphic triggers to unlock 7 different Hold & Spin bonuses with big prize, multiplier, and award all features'. The game also introduces an Instant Feature, which Aristocrat says is 'a brand new Aristocrat feature available for the first time ever' and allows players to 'purchase directly into the Hold & Spin bonus'.

Piggy Burst is presented as a piggy bank that 'is ready to burst and shower you with rewards'. No RTP, volatility or max win is published on the Aristocrat page reviewed here.

Rakin' Bacon: AGS's Golden Pig Series

Rakin' Bacon is AGS's pig-themed series, first released in 2018. The mascot is Cornsquealius, a golden pig who grows fatter as coins travel from the reels to his tummy. Casino Player Magazine describes him as 'the mascot of the hit AGS game series Rakin' Bacon'.

The series has expanded into multiple versions, including Rakin' Bacon Deluxe Pirate Plunder, Rakin' Bacon Sahara, Rakin' Bacon Odyssey, Rakin' Bacon Link, Rakin' Bacon Cash Combo and Rakin' Bacon Triple Oink. Each version gives Cornsquealius a different costume or theme.

Rakin' Bacon Link is described in the material reviewed as a five-reel, 243-ways-to-win video slot with a free-spin feature and a hold-and-spin bonus. Specific payback, hit-frequency and jackpot figures are not confirmed in the sources reviewed here; check the game's information screen or the operator's published rules for the figures that apply where you play.

Rakin' Bacon Link: RTP, Payout and Volatility

Payback and hit-frequency figures for Rakin' Bacon Link are not confirmed in the sources reviewed here. RTP is a long-run theoretical average, not a guarantee of individual results, and the actual figure depends on the configuration and jurisdiction. Check the game's information screen or the operator's published rules for the figure that applies where you play.

Jackpot structure and reset values for Rakin' Bacon Link are not confirmed in the sources reviewed here. Jackpot amounts and reset levels vary by configuration and jurisdiction, so check the game's information screen or the operator's published rules for the figures that apply where you play.

Volatility is not stated as a single figure, but the free-spin feature lets the player choose between 15 free spins on a 3x5 array with 243 ways to win, 10 spins on a 4x5 array with 1,024 ways, or five spins on a 5x5 array with 3,125 ways. More rows mean fewer spins but more ways to win on each spin.

How to Play Rakin' Bacon Link

Rakin' Bacon Link is a five-reel, 243-ways-to-win video slot. The rules are straightforward:

1. Choose your denomination. The game supports .01, .02, .05, .10 and .25 denominations.
2. Set your bet. The 243-ways format means wins are paid for matching symbols on adjacent reels from left to right, rather than on fixed paylines.
3. Spin the reels. The base game includes a preponderance of five-of-a-kind pays, which AGS describes as 'the bread and butter of Rakin' Bacon'.
4. Watch for coins. Cash-on-reels coins can trigger the hold-and-spin bonus, and coins also travel up to fatten Cornsquealius.
5. If the pig bursts, he throws down enough coins to complete the six required to trigger the hold-and-spin event.
6. In the hold-and-spin feature, coins and jackpot symbols lock in place for three spins. Landing another coin or jackpot symbol resets the spin meter to three.
7. If Cornsquealius lands in the feature, he absorbs the values of all cash-on-reel symbols on screen and spins the Jackpot symbol to land on one of the jackpot levels.

Gameplay, Graphics and Sound

Rakin' Bacon Link launches on the AGS Spectra SL49 Premium cabinet, a slant-top configuration with a 49-inch 4K curved portrait monitor. AGS describes it as 'a little more ergonomic for players' with 'a handsome, robust button deck' and 'lots of space on the button deck'. The cabinet is described as 'one of the tallest cabinets we've ever made, with an integrated topper on the 49-inch curved monitor display'.

Power Pig, as seen in the Jackpot Judo video, has colourful symbols and piggy clouds above the reels. The player comments that 'everything is colorful' and 'really pretty' and 'aesthetically pleasing'. The game also has a Hog Wild symbol that acts as a wild.

Piggy Burst is presented as a piggy bank theme with Hold & Spin mechanics. Aristocrat's page does not describe the graphics or sound in detail.

Slot Features

The pig-themed games in the sources share some common ground but differ in their specific features.

Wilds

Power Pig has a Hog Wild symbol that acts as a wild. The transcript notes 'hog wild is wild, obviously' when multiple wilds appear. Rakin' Bacon Link does not have a named wild in the source material, but the base game pays for five-of-a-kind combinations.

Scatters

Rakin' Bacon Link uses cash-on-reels coins rather than traditional scatters to trigger the hold-and-spin bonus. Six coins scattered on the reel array trigger the feature. Power Pig uses coins to trigger bonuses, though the exact trigger is not fully explained in the transcript.

Multipliers

Piggy Burst includes multipliers as part of its seven Hold & Spin bonuses, according to Aristocrat. Rakin' Bacon Link does not have a standalone multiplier feature in the source material, but the free-spin feature offers more ways to win on each spin.

Free Spins

Rakin' Bacon Link retains the free-spin feature from the original Rakin' Bacon. When triggered, the player chooses the volatility: 15 free spins on a 3x5 array with 243 ways to win, 10 spins on a 4x5 array with 1,024 ways, or five spins on a 5x5 array with 3,125 ways. Power Pig and Piggy Burst do not have documented free-spin features in the sources reviewed here.

Bonus Features

Hold & Spin

Filling all 15 reel spots with cash-on-reels or jackpot symbols is described as triggering the top Grand jackpot. The reset value is not confirmed in the sources reviewed here; check the game's information screen or the operator's published rules for the figure that applies where you play.

Piggy Burst Hold & Spin

Piggy Burst has seven different Hold & Spin bonuses, unlocked by landing one, two or all three metamorphic triggers. Aristocrat describes these as offering 'big prize, multiplier, and award all features'. The Instant Feature allows players to purchase directly into the Hold & Spin bonus.

Power Pig Bonuses

Power Pig has bonus features triggered by coins. The transcript mentions 'Smash and Bacon' and 'Power Tower' as bonus names, and a 'Hog Wild' feature that appears after a bonus. The exact mechanics are not fully explained in the footage.

Other Features

Rakin' Bacon Link has a second way to trigger the hold-and-spin bonus. During primary-game play, coins from the reels travel up to fatten Cornsquealius until he bursts at random. When that happens, he throws down enough coins to the reels to complete the six required to trigger the hold-and-spin event.

The game also has a preponderance of five-of-a-kind pays in both the primary and free-game play. AGS describes this as 'the bread and butter of Rakin' Bacon'.

Piggy Burst's Instant Feature is a new addition to Aristocrat games, allowing players to buy directly into the Hold & Spin bonus at any point in the game.

Where to Play

Rakin' Bacon Link is a land-based casino slot. It launches on the AGS Spectra SL49 Premium cabinet. AGS's website has a 'Find Where to Play' tool for its games. The game is not described as an online slot in the sources reviewed here.

Piggy Burst is an Aristocrat Gaming slot. Aristocrat's website has a 'Find Where to Play' section for its games. The page reviewed here does not state whether Piggy Burst is available online or only on casino floors.

Power Pig was played at M Resort in Las Vegas. The transcript does not name the manufacturer or state whether the game is available elsewhere.
