Mr Cashman Slots: The Aristocrat Machine, Magic Eyes & Cashman Casino App Explained

Editor's Comment

Mr. Cashman is one of those names that means different things depending on where you first met it. In Australia and New Zealand the character is a long-standing pokies icon; in the US it is a land-based Aristocrat machine that shows up on casino floors; and on mobile it is one game inside the Cashman Casino social app. The sources here do not give a verified RTP, payline count or volatility figure for a standalone 'Mr Cashman' slot, so this page sticks to what is actually documented rather than filling in numbers that would be guesswork.

• Its base game is Magic Eyes, with special Wild Magic Eyes symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4 that substitute for all positions on that reel, and five randomly triggered Mr. Cashman features.
• Cashman Casino is a separate social app by Product Madness, not the same thing as the land-based machine.
• Cashman Kingdom is a newer Aristocrat game with a Hold & Spin feature and a different structure again.

• The Mr. Cashman machine is an Aristocrat land-based slot built around the Mr. Cashman character. Specific venue availability is not documented in the sources reviewed here, so check with individual casinos for current placement.

What Is the Mr. Cashman Slot?

Mr. Cashman is an Aristocrat slot machine character with a long history in land-based casinos. The character is well known in Australia and New Zealand, and the machine has a worldwide presence. Specific venue availability is not documented in the sources reviewed here.

The version most slot video channels cover is the one whose base game is called Magic Eyes. On that machine the Mr. Cashman branding sits on top of a lines-based game with a scatter on each reel and special wild symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4. The Mr. Cashman features are not triggered by anything you land on a spin; they arrive randomly after any spin, win or lose. That random-trigger structure is a notable trait of the machine and the reason it plays differently from a standard free-spins slot.

Mr. Cashman Slot Machine At A Glance

Where a figure is not documented, it is left blank rather than estimated. Anyone quoting an exact RTP or payline count for this machine should be able to point to an official Aristocrat or operator source for it.

Mr. Cashman RTP, Payout and Volatility

The published information do not publish a return-to-player percentage, a volatility rating or a payline count for the Mr. Cashman machine, so this review does not state one. RTP on any slot is a long-run theoretical average, not a promise about a session, and it is only meaningful when it comes from the manufacturer or the operator running the machine.

On the Magic Eyes base game, landing three, four or five scatter symbols pays 5x, 10x or 250x your primary bet according to the feature breakdown in TheBigPayback's video description. The Mr. Cashman features themselves carry their own prize ceilings, which are listed in the features section below. If you want the certified RTP for a specific cabinet, the reliable route is the game rules screen on the machine itself or the operator's published information.

How to Play Mr. Cashman

The machine plays like a conventional Aristocrat lines game, with the Mr. Cashman layer sitting on top of it.

1. Set your bet per line and total bet using the on-screen controls before you spin.
2. Spin the reels. Wins are paid on matching symbols along the active lines.
3. Watch reels 2, 3 and 4 for the Magic Eyes wild. When it lands, it substitutes for all positions on that reel, except the scatter, which it covers on one position only.
4. Watch for the scatter, which appears once per reel. Three, four or five scatters pay 5x, 10x or 250x your primary bet.
5. Keep spinning. The Mr. Cashman features trigger randomly after any spin, whether that spin won or lost, so there is no symbol combination to chase for the bonus.
6. When a feature triggers, follow the on-screen prompt. Some features ask you to choose between options, others play out automatically.

Gameplay, Graphics and Sound

Magic Eyes is a character-led Aristocrat game rather than a cinematic video slot. The reels carry a mix of themed character symbols, mushrooms acting as the scatter, and the Magic Eyes wild, which is the visual centrepiece: when it lands on reels 2, 3 or 4 the whole reel turns wild, and that reel-wide expansion is the moment the base game is built around. The Mr. Cashman character himself appears when a feature triggers, which is where most of the personality of the machine lives.

Because the features are random, the pacing is different from a free-spins game. You are not building towards a trigger; you are spinning and waiting for the character to appear. Slot channels that cover the machine tend to describe the features as occurring fairly frequently, which is part of why the game has stayed popular on floors where it is available.

Slot Features

Wilds

The Magic Eyes symbol is the wild. It appears on reels 2, 3 and 4, and when it lands it substitutes for all positions on that reel. The one exception is the scatter, which the wild substitutes on a single position only. Landing the wild on more than one of those reels at once is the strongest base-game outcome.

Scatters

There is one scatter symbol per reel. Landing three, four or five of them pays 5x, 10x or 250x your primary bet respectively. The scatter is also the symbol the Magic Eyes wild cannot fully replace.

Multipliers

Multipliers appear inside the Mr. Cashman features rather than in the base game. The Random Spin feature multiplies all wins by 3x, 5x or 10x, and the free games inside Choose a Feature and Match the Prize carry their own multipliers, described below.

Free Spins

Free games are one of the possible outcomes inside two of the Mr. Cashman features. In Choose a Feature, the gift box option can award 20, 15, 10 or 5 free games with all prizes multiplied by 2x, 3x or 5x. In Match the Prize, matching stars can reveal 40, 20, 10 or 5 free games with wins multiplied by 1x, 2x, 3x or 5x respectively. There is no free-spins trigger in the base game itself.

Bonus Features

Mr. Cashman has five bonus features, all triggered at random after a spin rather than by a symbol combination. The breakdown below follows the feature list published in TheBigPayback's video description and the matching walkthrough in Shinobi Slots' coverage of the machine.

Random Spin

Mr. Cashman randomly spins one or more reels. All wins from the resulting spin are paid under the usual rules but multiplied by 3x, 5x or 10x.

Choose a Feature

You are offered a choice between a money bag and a gift box. The money bag can award up to 1,000 credits multiplied by your bet per line. The gift box can award 20, 15, 10 or 5 free games, during which all prizes are multiplied by 2x, 3x or 5x.

Random Bonus

Mr. Cashman simply awards a bonus prize of up to 25,000 credits multiplied by your bet per line. There is no decision to make.

Match the Prize

You touch stars until two matching prizes are revealed. The prize can be up to 1,000 credits multiplied by your bet per line, or 40, 20, 10 or 5 free games with wins multiplied by 1x, 2x, 3x or 5x respectively.

Poker Machine

A three-reel style side game that awards a bonus prize of up to 999 credits multiplied by your bet per line.

Other Features

Beyond the five features, the notable structural point is that the base game has no bonus trigger of its own. Shinobi Slots' coverage notes that to their knowledge there are no free games in the base game, and that the Mr. Cashman features carry the entire bonus load. That is unusual for a modern slot and it is the main thing to understand before you sit down at the machine: you are not chasing a scatter combination for the bonus, you are waiting for the character to appear.

The other practical point is that the features can repeat. Nothing stops the machine from triggering a feature you have already seen, so a session can produce several bonuses without ever showing all five.

Where to Play Mr. Cashman

The Mr. Cashman machine is a land-based Aristocrat product. URComped's listing records player tags at venues including Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City, Encore Boston Harbor, Choctaw Casino Resort, Tropicana Atlantic City, Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway and Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin Dells. Those tags are player reports of where the machine has been seen, not a guarantee it is on the floor today, so it is worth checking with the casino before making a trip for it specifically.

If what you actually want is the Mr. Cashman game on your phone, that lives inside the Cashman Casino social app from Product Madness, which lists 'Mr. Cashman online slot games' among its titles. That app is a free-to-play social casino: it uses virtual coins, carries in-app purchases, and its own store listing states that it does not offer gambling or an opportunity to win real money or prizes. It is a different product from the land-based machine, with a different structure and no real-money payouts.

Cashman Casino and Cashman Kingdom: Related but Different

Two other products share the Cashman name and are worth separating out.

Cashman Casino is the Product Madness social slots app. Its store listing describes it as a free social casino with a 10 million virtual coin welcome bonus, daily, hourly and 15-minute virtual bonuses, and a game library that includes Buffalo Gold, TimberWolf, Pompeii, African Dusk and Mr. Cashman alongside Lightning Link titles. It is rated Teen with Simulated Gambling on Google Play and 18+ on the App Store, and both listings state plainly that it does not offer gambling or real-money prizes. If you searched for 'Mr Cashman free slots' and landed on an app, this is almost certainly what you found.

Cashman Kingdom is a newer Aristocrat game, documented on Aristocrat's own site. It is not the same machine as Mr. Cashman. Its features are a Cashman Hold & Spin with seven characters and a treasure chest symbol with a 10-spin countdown to jackpot awards, a Free Games feature that adds a stack of three wilds to reels 2-5 on every free game, and an Instant Feature that lets players buy into the Hold & Spin bonus. If you are looking for the modern Aristocrat Cashman release rather than the older Mr. Cashman character machine, this is the one.
