Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate wagering requirements?

Multiply the bonus amount (or bonus + deposit if the terms specify "D+B") by the wagering multiplier. €50 bonus × 35x wagering = €1,750 of turnover required before you can withdraw.

What is the real cost of a wagering requirement?

At a 96% RTP slot, every €100 you wager returns €96 on average — losing €4. So €1,750 of turnover costs roughly €70 in expected losses, reducing a €50 bonus to a net expected value of −€20.

Can I clear wagering on any slot?

No. Most Irish casinos restrict wagering to slots only and often exclude specific high-RTP titles. Table games usually contribute 10% or less to wagering. Always check the bonus terms before accepting.

What is a "max bet" restriction?

Most bonus terms cap your max bet per spin (typically €5–€7) while wagering is active. Betting above this limit can void all bonus winnings — verify before playing.

How wagering actually works

The basic formula: bonus × wagering multiplier = total turnover required. A €100 bonus at 35× means €3,500 of betting before the bonus balance converts to withdrawable cash.

"D+B" vs "B" wagering: Irish casinos vary. Deposit-and-bonus (D+B) wagering requires turning over both your deposit and the bonus — significantly more expensive. Bonus-only (B) wagering is better for you.

Slot contribution: most casinos only count slot play at 100%. Table games typically contribute 10% or less, meaning €100 at blackjack counts as €10 toward wagering. Some casinos exclude specific high-RTP slots entirely (Blood Suckers, Mega Joker, Book of 99 — the ones on our real-money ranking).

Max bet restriction: a €5–€7 max-bet cap during wagering is normal. Betting above it can void all bonus winnings, not just the offending spin. Always set your spin size before starting.

The real cost: at a 96% RTP slot, every €100 wagered returns €96 on average. €3,500 of turnover therefore costs roughly €140 in expected losses. For a €100 bonus to be positive EV, the wagering requirement plus max-cashout cap need to still leave you ahead — that is rare on unsolicited welcome bonuses.
